Unakite is a mottled combination rock of pink feldspar, green epidote and clear quartz, the pink and green sitting side by side rather than blending into a single colour. It's named after the Unaka Mountains on the border of North Carolina and Tennessee, where it was first described, though it's also found in South Africa and China.

Its distinctive two-tone pattern makes it easy to identify at a glance, no two pieces mottled in quite the same distribution.

Unakite is worked with for balancing the heart and the will — feeling and action held together rather than one overriding the other. It sits with the heart.
