Tiger iron is a banded combination of tiger eye, hematite and red jasper, layered together in a single piece rather than blended — each band bringing its own colour and mineral history, from tiger eye's golden shimmer to hematite's dark metallic weight to jasper's deep red. It's found specifically in Western Australia's ancient iron-rich formations, some of the oldest banded rock on earth.

The layering happened over enormous stretches of geological time, iron-rich sediment settling in bands as ancient seas rose and fell.

Tiger iron is worked with for strength and vitality drawn from several sources at once — more grounded and grittier than tiger eye alone. It sits with the root and solar plexus.
