Aquamarine — The stone of safe passage
For anyone about to set out on something.
Aquamarine is beryl coloured by trace iron, and its name says exactly what it looks like — aqua marina, seawater in Latin. It shares its mineral family with emerald, though the two couldn't look less alike; where emerald is famously included and fragile, aquamarine tends to grow clear and durable.
Sailors have carried it for centuries as a talisman against rough seas, and it was believed to calm the waters a ship travelled through — a tradition old enough that it's still the reason it's associated with safe travel today.
Aquamarine is worked with for calm, clear communication and a steady kind of courage — useful whenever something new is starting and nerves are part of it. It sits with the throat and heart.
Sheri chooses every piece by hand, cleanses it, and charges it before it's packed here on the Gold Coast.
A good stone to carry rather than display, especially before travel.

Colour can fade in strong sun. Water is safe. Cleanse with smoke, sound or moonlight.
Clear Quartz — The Master Healer
The one you reach for when you're not sure what you need.
Clear quartz is quartz at its purest — silicon dioxide with almost nothing else in it. The clearest pieces look like frozen water, and the old Greek name krystallos meant exactly that: they believed it was ice that had frozen so hard it could never melt.
It's the most programmable of all crystals. Hold it, name what you're working towards, and it holds the thread. That's why it turns up at the centre of grids, in the hand during meditation, and beside almost every other stone in a collection — it doesn't compete, it amplifies.
Clear quartz is worked with for clarity, focus and intention. It's called the master healer not because it does everything, but because it strengthens whatever else is already working.

Lapis Lazuli — The blue of kings
For a mind that wants to see clearly, and speak just as clearly.
Lapis lazuli isn't a single mineral but a rock — mostly lazurite, threaded with white calcite and flecked with pyrite that catches the light like scattered gold. Afghanistan's Sar-i-Sang mines have supplied it for over six thousand years, making lapis one of the longest continuously mined materials on earth. Ancient Egypt used it for burial masks and jewellery, most famously in Tutankhamun's death mask, and for centuries it was ground into ultramarine, a pigment so labour-intensive to produce that it was at times worth more than gold.
The best pieces show an even, deep blue with fine gold pyrite scattered through rather than large chalky calcite patches.
Lapis lazuli is worked with for insight and honest communication — a stone that has carried royal and spiritual weight across nearly every culture that's had access to it. It sits with the third eye and throat.
