Strawberry quartz is clear or milky quartz flecked with fine red inclusions of hematite or lepidocrocite, scattered through the crystal in a way that genuinely resembles strawberry seeds caught in ice. Most of what's available comes from Brazil and Madagascar, and the density of red inclusions varies considerably from piece to piece, with the most sought-after specimens showing an even, generous scatter throughout.

It sits alongside rose quartz and green aventurine as one of the lighter, brighter members of the quartz family, more playful than deeply intense.

Strawberry quartz is worked with for joyful love and optimism — a lighter emotional register than rose quartz's steadier devotion. It sits with the heart.
