Shiva lingam stones are collected, not carved — cryptocrystalline quartz and rhyolite pebbles tumbled and smoothed over years by the currents of the Narmada River in central India, one of the most sacred rivers in Hindu tradition. Their naturally oval form has been revered for centuries as a representation of Shiva, and traditionally, they're gathered by hand from the riverbed itself rather than shaped afterward.

Each stone's subtle banding and markings are entirely the river's work, no two ever forming quite the same pattern of colour through the pebble.

Shiva lingam is worked with for balance between opposing energies and a sense of sacred, grounded connection. It sits with the root and crown together.
