Scolecite — Needles of white light
For thoughts that want to settle into stillness.
Scolecite is a zeolite that forms in fine, radiating sprays of white needle crystals, delicate enough that early mineralogists tested for it with a flame — heated, the needles curl and writhe, which is exactly how the stone earned its name, from the Greek skolex, worm. It typically grows on a bed of other zeolite minerals, most often in the cavities of ancient volcanic basalt, with India among its most significant sources.
Its sprays are genuinely fragile, more so than most zeolites, which is why fine specimens are handled carefully and displayed rather than worked with daily.
Scolecite is worked with for deep meditation and inner peace — often paired with other zeolites for a gentler, quieter effect. It sits with the crown and third eye.
Sheri chooses every piece by hand, cleanses it, and charges it before it's packed here on the Gold Coast.
Very delicate — display only.
