Aventurine — The stone of quiet luck
For a little glimmer of luck, in whatever colour finds you.
Aventurine is quartz threaded with tiny flakes of mica, which catch the light and scatter it in a soft shimmer called aventurescence. Green, coloured by fuchsite, is the most familiar, but the same effect turns up in red, blue and peach depending on which mineral is doing the sparkling. The name comes from an accident in Venetian glassmaking — a worker once spilled copper filings into molten glass and called the glittering result a ventura, by chance.
Across its colours, aventurine has carried the reputation of the gambler's stone — kept in a pocket for a favourable outcome.
Aventurine is worked with for opportunity and quiet good fortune. It sits with the heart, whichever shade you're holding.

Orgonite — Crystal and metal
Not a stone, and we won't pretend otherwise.
Orgonite is a made object: crystals and metal shavings suspended in cured resin. It's based on the work of Wilhelm Reich, an Austrian psychoanalyst who in the 1930s and 40s theorised a form of energy he called orgone, and built devices layering organic and inorganic material to interact with it. The modern craft version dates to the 1990s.
There's no scientific consensus behind it, and we'd rather say so than imply one. What's true is that each piece is cast individually, so the internal pattern of metal and crystal is never quite repeated, and people keep them near electronics or in workspaces.
If you're drawn to it, it's worth having. If you want a natural mineral, look at black tourmaline or shungite instead.
