Moldavite — Glass from a meteorite impact
For a nudge that comes from somewhere well outside your usual orbit.
Moldavite is natural glass, formed roughly fifteen million years ago when a meteorite struck what is now southern Germany with enough force to melt the surrounding rock and fling molten debris hundreds of kilometres away. That debris cooled mid-air and fell across a strewn field centred on the Moldau river valley in the present-day Czech Republic, which is the only place on earth it's found and where it takes its name.
Its deep forest green and etched, textured surface make it unmistakable once you've seen a genuine piece — a texture formed by rapid cooling and atmospheric friction rather than anything decorative.
Moldavite is worked with for rapid, sometimes intense transformation — one of the few stones with a widespread reputation for working fast rather than gently. It sits with the heart and crown.
Sheri chooses every piece by hand, cleanses it, and charges it before it's packed here on the Gold Coast.
Durable glass, but genuine moldavite is scarce — sourced carefully to avoid the widespread fakes in the market.
