Sugilite — Purple, rare, and mostly from one mine
For staying yourself in a room that wants you to be someone else.
Sugilite is a rare, intensely purple manganese silicate, first identified in Japan and named after the petrologist who found it, Ken-ichi Sugi. Nearly all of the gem-quality material available today comes from a single source — the Wessels mine in South Africa — which is part of why fine, richly saturated sugilite remains genuinely uncommon and sought after.
Its colour can range from a pale lavender to a deep, almost grape-purple, with the most vivid pieces commanding the most attention among collectors.
Sugilite is worked with for staying grounded in your own identity, particularly in situations that pressure you to conform. It sits with the third eye and crown.
Sheri chooses every piece by hand, cleanses it, and charges it before it's packed here on the Gold Coast.
