Blue goldstone is man-made glass, cobalt blue, seeded with tiny flecks of copper that catch the light like scattered stars. It comes from the same Venetian glassmaking tradition as its amber cousin, brown goldstone — Murano glassworkers were producing sparkling copper-glass by the seventeenth century, and the blue version followed as the technique was refined.

Made rather than mined, it doesn't carry mineral rarity, but it does carry craft — the copper crystals only form correctly under a very specific, slow cooling process.

Blue goldstone is worked with for calm insight and a sense of connection to something larger — the closest thing on the shelf to holding the night sky. It sits with the throat and third eye.
