Aura Quartz — The stone that wears its light
For someone who wants quartz's usual clarity with a little more shimmer.
Aura quartz starts as ordinary clear quartz, then goes through a modern process borrowed from electronics manufacturing: it's placed in a vacuum chamber and bonded with a microscopically thin layer of vaporised metal, which fuses permanently to the crystal's surface and refracts light into an iridescent sheen. The technique dates to the 1980s. Different metals give different names and colours — gold vapour produces Aqua Aura's electric blue, platinum gives the soft rainbow of Angel Aura.
The coating is real and permanent, fused rather than painted, though it sits on the surface rather than running through the stone.
Aura quartz is worked with as an amplifier with a lighter touch — quartz's usual focus, softened and brightened. It sits with all centres, depending on the coating.
Sheri chooses every piece by hand, cleanses it, and charges it before it's packed here on the Gold Coast.
The coating can scratch — handle it a little more gently than plain quartz.

Pairs well with
Clear Quartz · Selenite · Amethyst
Care
Coating scratches and can wear. Avoid water, salt and abrasion. Cleanse with smoke or sound.
Copper — The stone that carries the current
For energy that needs somewhere to actually go.
Copper is one of the few metals that occurs naturally in its pure, native form — no smelting required — which is exactly why it was among the first metals humans ever worked. Evidence of copper tools and ornaments dates back roughly ten thousand years, well before bronze or iron, and the period is named for it: the Chalcolithic, the Copper Age. Some of the largest native copper masses ever found came out of Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula, pieces heavy enough to require a crane.
Left exposed to air and moisture, copper's bright metallic surface slowly weathers into the same blue-green minerals sold as malachite and azurite — those two stones are, in a sense, copper's future.
Copper is worked with as a conductor — a stone understood to carry and direct energy rather than generate it, which is why it's often placed alongside other crystals to strengthen what they're already doing. It sits with the sacral and works well as a base for grids.

Will develop a natural patina over time — polish with a soft cloth if you prefer to keep the bright shine.

Care
Durable but will oxidise over time. Safe with water; dry thoroughly after. Cleanse with any method.
