Brandenburg quartz comes from a single source — Brandberg Mountain in Namibia, whose name means burning mountain, for the way its granite glows red at sunset. The points typically carry both amethyst colouring and smoky phantom layers within the same crystal, sometimes several phantoms stacked through one clear point, marking pauses in its growth.

Among collectors it's prized for unusually sharp, well-defined terminations — a clarity of form that's part of why it's sought out for deep meditation work specifically.

Brandenburg is worked with for release and for the kind of deep meditative work that goes further than a single sitting usually reaches. It sits with the third eye, crown and root together.
