Kyanite — The stone that never needs cleansing
One of two crystals that clear themselves.
Kyanite grows in long bladed crystals, and it has a property almost unique among minerals: its hardness changes depending on which direction you scratch it. Along the blade it's soft enough to mark with a knife; across it, hard enough to resist steel. Mineralogists call it disthene — two strengths.
The blue comes from titanium, and the best material — deep, almost sapphire — comes from Nepal and Brazil. It forms under high pressure in metamorphic rock, which is to say it was made by being squeezed.
Kyanite is worked with for alignment and for clear speech, and it's one of the few stones understood not to hold onto anything — like selenite, it doesn't need cleansing. It sits with the throat and third eye.
Sheri chooses every piece by hand, cleanses it, and charges it before it's packed here on the Gold Coast.

Pairs well with
Selenite · Clear Quartz · Sodalite
Care
Splits easily along the blade. Brief water contact only. Cleanse with smoke or sound — though kyanite is understood to be self-clearing.
Mica — Sheets you can peel
For flexibility that doesn't mean losing your shape.
Mica is a family of silicate minerals defined by one striking property: perfect basal cleavage, meaning it splits into thin, flexible sheets almost as easily as peeling a page from a book. Before glass was widely affordable, thin mica sheets — sold as isinglass — were used as heat-resistant windows in stoves and lanterns. The family includes several distinct minerals: clear muscovite, black biotite, and lithium-rich lepidolite, all sharing the same layered structure but differing in colour and trace chemistry.
Its sheets are thin enough to be genuinely translucent, letting light pass through in soft, shifting bands.
Mica is worked with for flexibility and adaptability — bending with pressure rather than breaking under it. It sits with the crown.
Sheri chooses every piece by hand, cleanses it, and charges it before it's packed here on the Gold Coast.
Sheets can flake apart with rough handling — keep it somewhere it won't be knocked about.

Care
Very soft and flakes into sheets. Avoid water. Cleanse with smoke or sound.
Weight range: 30-60g
Sized by weight, not by eye — every piece within a size falls in the same range. Shape and markings vary; each stone is unique, and intuitively chosen for you.
