Astrophyllite — The stone of the wider view
For a mind that wants to see the whole pattern, not just the piece in front of it.
Astrophyllite grows in fine bronze-gold blades that radiate out from a centre point across dark host rock, and the name says as much: astron and phyllon, Greek for star and leaf. It was first described in Norway in 1854, and it remains rare — most of what's available today comes from the Kola Peninsula in Russia, where it forms in unusual alkaline igneous rock.
The starburst pattern isn't decorative in origin. It's simply how the blades grow outward from a shared nucleation point, all at once, all in the same rock.
Astrophyllite is worked with for perspective — for stepping back far enough to see a pattern rather than a single moment. It sits with the crown and third eye.
Sheri chooses every piece by hand, cleanses it, and charges it before it's packed here on the Gold Coast.
The blades can flake at the edges — handle it as you would something layered.
