Aragonite — the stone of steady ground
For staying steady while things rearrange.
Aragonite and calcite share an identical chemical formula — both are calcium carbonate — but they crystallise differently, which makes them polymorphs of each other rather than the same mineral. Aragonite is what pearls and most mollusc shells are actually made of, formed by the same chemistry working at body temperature inside a living creature. It was first identified in 1797 in the Aragon region of Spain.
It often grows in radiating clusters called sputnik formations — pale, star-shaped bursts that look faintly mechanical, which is exactly how they earned the nickname.
Aragonite is worked with for grounding through transition, and for patience with a process that's already underway. It sits with the root and sacral.
Sheri chooses every piece by hand, cleanses it, and charges it before it's packed here on the Gold Coast.
The star clusters are delicate at the points — handle gently.
