Apophyllite — Clarity you can see straight through
For the meditation corner rather than the pocket.
Apophyllite grows in glassy pyramids, usually on a bed of green stilbite or grey basalt, and its transparency is unusual even among clear minerals. Hold a good piece to the light and you can see straight through the structure to the crystal behind it.
The name comes from Greek — apo phyllon, "to flake off" — because it splits along its natural layers when heated. That fragility is part of what it is. It formed in slow-cooling volcanic cavities, mostly in the Deccan Traps of India, and it doesn't survive rough handling.
Apophyllite is worked with for spiritual clarity and for connection to higher awareness. It sits with the third eye and crown. Most people keep it in a fixed place rather than carrying it — partly for what it does, partly because it doesn't travel well.
Sheri chooses every piece by hand, cleanses it, and charges it before it's packed here on the Gold Coast.

Care
Delicate — flakes along its natural layers. Avoid water and handle gently. Cleanse with smoke or sound only.
Stilbite — The gentle one
For softening rather than shifting.
Stilbite grows in peach and cream sheaves — clusters of thin blades fanning out from a centre, like a bowtie or a wheat stalk. It usually shares its matrix with apophyllite, the two growing together in the same volcanic cavities of the Deccan Traps in India.
It's a zeolite, which means its structure is full of microscopic channels — the same property that makes zeolites useful as industrial filters and water softeners.
Stilbite is worked with for gentleness and for opening the heart without force. It's the stone people describe as quiet, and it's often suggested when something more intense hasn't helped. It sits with the heart and crown.
