Amber — The stone of captured warmth
For warmth that's been waiting a long time to reach you.
Amber isn't a mineral at all — it's fossilised tree resin, most of it between thirty and ninety million years old. Baltic amber, the most common source, formed from ancient conifer forests and has been washing up on northern European shores and being traded south along the Amber Road since the Bronze Age. Occasionally a piece holds an insect, trapped mid-flight in resin that outlived it by tens of millions of years.
Rub it and it holds a static charge — the ancient Greeks called it elektron, and that property is where the word electricity comes from.
Amber is worked with for warmth, vitality and gentle protection — less a crystal in the traditional sense, more a small piece of preserved sunlight. It sits with the solar plexus and sacral.
Sheri chooses every piece by hand, cleanses it, and charges it before it's packed here on the Gold Coast.
It's organic, not mineral — treat it like a keepsake rather than a stone.
