Actinolite — The stone of the steady heart
For a heart that needs support seeing clearly.
Actinolite grows in fine, fibrous needles, usually green from iron, radiating outward like a burst of grass. The name comes from Greek aktis and lithos — ray stone — for exactly that habit. A fibrous form of the mineral is one of the sources of natural asbestos, which is why loose or crushed material is handled with care, though polished tumbled pieces are stable and safe to hold.
Actinolite often grows intergrown with quartz, and it's one of the minerals that can be present within nephrite jade, lending it strength and fibrous toughness.
Actinolite is worked with for compassion paired with clarity — opening the heart without losing sight of what's actually true. It sits with the heart and third eye, the pairing that shows up when a stone is meant to soften and sharpen at once.
Sheri chooses every piece by hand, cleanses it, and charges it before it's packed here on the Gold Coast.
A quieter stone, best kept somewhere you'll handle it often.
